Woodville, population 1,192, is the county seat of Wilkinson County, which is located in the Southwest corner of Mississippi.

It was first settled in the late 1700’s and was chartered as a town in 1811.

On the National Register of Historic Places since 1982, the Woodville Historic District lists 242 properties that represent an architectural range from Federal style through post World War II structures.

A central business district encircles the Courthouse, where majestic live oak trees shade the handmade brick sidewalks.
